One of my favourite parts of the festive season is wrapping presents, so today I’m sharing my five Christmas gift wrapping ideas. There’s something so lovely about taking the time to make each gift feel special – almost like you’re wrapping a little piece of joy. Whether you love getting crafty or prefer quick and easy ideas that still look beautiful, these Christmas gift wrapping ideas are simple, stylish, and perfect for making your gifts feel extra thoughtful this year.
And if you love the look and feel of handmade gift wrapping, but don’t have the time (or inclination!) to make it yourself, many of these ideas can be requested as a wrapping option when purchasing any gift or kit from my Love and Stitch Kits shop. 💛
If you’re new here and want to know a bit more about me and where Love & Stitch Kits began, you can read my story on the About page.
🎄 1. Kraft Paper & Natural Greenery
This is a classic for a reason. I love wrapping gifts in simple kraft paper, tying them with twine, and then tucking in a sprig of eucalyptus, pine, or rosemary. It smells gorgeous and looks beautifully rustic.
Goes perfectly with: my Newborn Kit with Wood Rattle, Hair Brush Comb — the natural tones complement the wood textures so nicely.
If you ever have questions about custom gift wrapping or personalised gift options, I’ve answered the most common ones in my FAQ section.
✨ 2. Furoshiki Fabric Wrap
If you want something eco–friendly and gorgeous, wrapping presents in fabric is such a lovely alternative. You can reuse old scarves, tea towels, or scraps of fabric.
I love this for: kits with bodysuit, hat, and muslin cloths. The extra fabric in the packaging makes everything match perfectly.

🎁 3. Wax Seals for a Vintage Touch
Wax seals instantly make any gift look luxurious. I like using deep reds or golds at Christmas, sometimes with an initial stamp for a personalised finish.
Especially nice when gifting: custom printed outfits featuring names or initials.
🎀 4. Layered Ribbons
Mixing different ribbons is a simple way to make presents look incredibly elegant. My favourite combination for this Christmas is a more rustic fabric paired with a satin ribbon.
Pairs beautifully with: the Personalised New Parents Set, which includes mugs in a beautiful box.
❄️ 5. Clear Box with Decorative Fill
For an aesthetic moment, pop your gift inside a clear acetate box and fill it with paper shred or faux snow. It turns the gift into its own little display.
Brilliant for: those tiny crochet little booties because the colours and textures look beautiful through the clear box.
